Wie immer ist das Herzstück der FairyLoot natürlich das Buch: Bonesmith by Nicki Pau Preto – neben dem Buch, das signiert ist, war wieder ein Brief der Autor*in (auf dem Bild seht ihr davon die Rückseite mit der Illustration) mit dabei. Die FairyLoot Exclusive Edition bietet nicht nur eine Prägung auf dem Einband, sondern auch digital sprayed Edges, einen Wendeumschlag und Artwork auf den Endpapers. Ich bin ein unglaublich großer Fan der Aufmachung!

Gideon the Ninth meets the Game of Thrones White Walkers in this dark young adult fantasy about a disgraced ghost-fighting warrior who must journey into a haunted wasteland to rescue a kidnapped prince.

In the Dominions, the dead linger, violent and unpredictable, unless a bonesmith severs the ghost from its earthly remains. For bonesmith Wren, becoming a valkyr – a ghost-fighting warrior – is a chance to solidify her place in the noble House of Bone and impress her frequently absent father. But when sabotage causes Wren to fail her qualifying trial, she is banished to the Border Wall, the last line of defence against a wasteland called the Breach where the vicious dead roam unchecked.

Determined to reclaim her family’s respect, Wren gets her chance when a House of Gold prince is kidnapped and taken beyond the Wall. To prove she has what it takes to be a valkyr, Wren vows to cross the Breach and rescue the prince. But to do so, she’s forced into an uneasy alliance with one of the kidnappers – a fierce ironsmith called Julian from the exiled House of Iron, the very people who caused the Breach in the first place…and the House of Bone’s sworn enemy.

As they travel, Wren and Julian spend as much time fighting each other as they do the undead, but when they discover there’s more behind the kidnapping than either of them knew, they’ll need to work together to combat the real danger: a dark alliance that is brewing between the living and the undead.

Starten wir mit diesen mega coolen kleinen Metal Straws, designed by @blanca.design, versehen mit kleinen Totenköpfen – love it! Ich finde die Metall-Strohhalme prinzipiell einfach immer super stark, weil sie auch so praktisch sind, liebe hier aber auch besonders das Design und das neue Format.
Weiter geht es mit den Bookends, designed by @jezhawk und inspiriert durch Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir – ich muss gestehen, dass mich das Buch damals nicht ganz so packen konnte, doch Idee fand ich super und schaut euch diese Buchstützen an!
Das Gothic Sticker Sheet, designed by @no0nedesigns ist jetzt kein Muss für mich, aber why not.

ICH RASTE AUS – Ich liebe, liebe, liebe das nächste Item: Glass Thumbler, designed by @_saintdri und inspiriert durch Belladonna by Adalyn Grace. Also wirklich, wie toll ist das bitte?
Dann gab es noch Page Tabs, designed by @blanca.design und inspiriert durch The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon (habe ich damals geliebt) und die kann ich einfach immer gebrauchen. Finde auch das Format für Ordner super cool.
Last but not least die Tarot Cards of the Month, designed by @rosalynnarts und inspiriert durch die Charaktere Wren und Julian aus dem Monatsbuch.

Ihr merkt es selbst – ich bin super in love. Ich liebe die Umsetzung des Themas an sich und jedes einzelne Item – dazu wieder ein so vielversprechendes und toll aufgemachtes Buch, ich bin einfach happy.
